Headless Self Portrait

If body parts could be used as a metaphor for self, which one would you be?

Create a list in your sketch book of body parts – be creative and extensive, legs are obvious but what about perspiration? or the soul?

Find ten reference images of body parts (the ones that you are most likely to use) and place them in your sketchbook along with your list. Look beyond the internet, ie. anatomy books, glamour magazines, manuals on first aid, personal photographs

Create a self-portrait that does not show your head but tells something about you through the depiction of other body parts. You can create additional interest and feeling through composition, choice of media and style in which you work.
