Concert Band Wins Esprit De Corps Award

Four student ensembles from the New Paltz High School (NPHS) band program performed at the Music in the Parks competition in Holyoke, MA, and Ludlow, MA, on Friday, May 17. The students worked hard to present great music and were rewarded with two top ratings of "Superior" and two of "Excellent."

Additionally, our Concert Band was named Best Overall High School Concert Band at the festival, and all NPHS band students earned the extremely coveted "Esprit De Corps" award. This prestigious award is presented to the group demonstrating the best group spirit, respect, and approach to music-making and was awarded to NPHS out of a field of 44 student musical groups.
