Soleil Miller Named Salutatorian of Ulster BOCES Career and Technical Center

Congratulations to New Paltz High School (NPHS) senior Soleil Miller, the salutatorian of Ulster BOCES Career and Technical Center's 2024 class!

Coming from a creative household, Soleil initially excelled in math and science and had a promising future in law or engineering. However, during a moment of self-reflection during the pandemic, Soleil realized that pursuing a path in fashion would bring her true happiness. She enrolled in an online course through the Parsons School of Design, which set her on her current journey. After exploring marketing and drawing courses during her early years at NPHS, Soleil enthusiastically joined the Ulster BOCES Fashion Design and Merchandising program in her junior year.

Outside of school, Soleil actively contributes to the Maya Gold Foundation as the youth action teen committee president, empowering Hudson Valley youth to realize their dreams.

In the fall, Soleil will attend Parsons School of Design to pursue her goal of owning her own brand.

We are incredibly proud of Soleil's achievements and can't wait to see her continue to shine in all her future endeavors. Keep reaching for the stars, Soleil!!
