    To Parents, Caregivers, and Staff:

Today we were notified that a Lenape Elementary student has tested positive for COVID-19.  The student was last in attendance on Monday, November 1, 2021.   The student was in contact with other students and a staff member that will need to quarantine.   All required notifications to the Ulster County Department of Health have been made as well as notifications to the families of the impacted students.

Please remember, COVID-19 symptoms may appear two to 14 days after exposure to the virus and include fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea. If your child experiences any of these symptoms, please keep them home from school and closely monitor them. Consult with your child’s doctor for advice whenever needed.

Once again, we urge vigilance and responsibility. Please do not hesitate to contact the nurse’s office if you have any questions or concerns.  Please contact Principal Inglee at 256-4300 or Nurse Maria Meoli at 256-4310.
