Egg Drop Challenge at Lenape Elementary

To finish up their last science unit on forces and motion, Traci Miranda and Daniel Monheit's Grade 3 class from Lenape Elementary completed an egg drop challenge! Groups of students were given a set amount of supplies and a time limit to make a contraption that would keep their egg safe from a 20-foot drop onto concrete. Through this hands-on experiment, students discovered what worked, what didn’t, and learned that science and engineering are all about reimagining and reinventing solutions. It was an egg-cellent way to end the unit, and the students were quite cracked up about it!
