• Homeless Children Annual Notice

     

    The School District shall provide a public education to all persons between the ages of five (5) and 21 who are legal School District residents. The parent/guardian of a homeless child, or a homeless child if no parent/guardian is available, or the director of a residential program for runaway and homeless youth established pursuant to Article 19-H of the Executive Law, in consultation with the homeless child, where such homeless child is living in such program, may designate either the school district of current location, the school of origin, or a school district participating in a regional placement plan as the district the homeless child shall attend. All programs and services of the New Paltz Central School District are available to homeless students and unaccompanied youth. Students have the right to be enrolled even though the admission requirements have not been completed and prior student records are not available, and the right to transportation to and from school.
